Great analysis in ignoring that about half of that debt is from Trump and that debt as percent of GDP is lower since Biden took office, after peaking in 2020 at 126%.

Covid, anyone? Did you forget about that? Lying Joe kept spending and giving our handouts despite the economy being reported and pent up demand for product. What an idiot!

What does Covid have to do with zippergate being called out for blaming President Biden for Trump's debt? It sounds like you are arguing with voices in your head.
Trump's debt? LOL. Some of it is, sure, but Biden added plenty. And he didn't have to forgive hundreds of billions in student debt or subsidize batteries, solar panels, and hydroden to the tune of multi-trillions in the years ahead. To pretend that the debt isn't accelerating under Biden is just dishonest.
Subsidizing solar power isn't something Biden dreamed up. We've been offering solar tax credits since 2005 during Dubya's administration. In fact, the program was extended in 2018 under Trump's watch.

And we still get roughly 80% of our energy from hydrocarbons, same as before the trillions in subsidies. But solar is really a side show in the IRA. $5 per kilogram subsidy for hydrogen. hundreds of billions for battery production. It's endless, uneconomic and wildly inflationary.

Remember, the capital gains tax is NOT indexed to inflation so in an inflationary environment, they're taxing phantom gains. This is wealth confiscation.

Biden campaign continues to be confident that his re-election can survive the political fallout from Gaza. Short version is that it's not really a top issue for young voters and is largely driven by people who weren't going to vote for Biden anyways. Biden will continue to focus on the issues that people care most about.

Obviously we will continue to see protests, anti-Israel sentiments, etc. and that will continue to come from agitators on the left and the right and externally (Putin, Iran, etc.) but that would be true no matter what approach Biden took. It's not clear that some other approach would be more politically expedient.

Quote:

"What is happening in Gaza is not the top issue for [young voters]. It's not going to be for the vast majority of young voters the thing that's going to determine whether they vote or how they vote," said a campaign official working on youth engagement who was granted anonymity to speak about internal thinking. "The reality is that the folks that are organizing, the goal of that organizing is to make it seem that way and to bring that attention to it."

But other operatives say data supports the notion that other issues, mainly the economy, are having more influence on young voters' frustration with the president than the war in Gaza. In a recently released Harvard Youth Poll, 27 percent of respondents said economic issues concerned them the most, while 8 percent said the same of foreign policy/national security issues. Drilled down even further, just 2 percent of respondents said the "Israel/Palestine" conflict concerned them the most.

"As of two weeks ago, I have not seen evidence that this is on its way to being a cultural phenomenon," said John Della Volpe, the director of polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics who specializes on Gen Z surveys. "One of the more enlightening findings [and] it was somewhat surprising from the poll last week was that despite what we're seeing … this isn't an issue that most young people are prioritizing right now."

LOL, they could be there for Occupy Wall Street or Coachella. Seems like they are having fun though!

I expect him to continue to put pressure on Israel and to help enable more aid for Palestinian people (like the $9B he just approved). Of course, he can't do anything about the fact that Hamas will never surrender and continues to hamstring aid efforts because what's bad for Palestinians is good for Hamas.

Don't forget to add the state capital gains tax... In Cali it would be 59% total, in Jersey 55.3%.

Clip and save. Here's the authoritative list of lies Joe Biden has told as president: 352 and counting.

The lies are one thing but the media doesn't hold Biden accountable for them, and in many cases, they help to perpetuate them.

Yes, for Californians earning over $700k and for New Jerseyans earning over $600k the incremental amounts above that would be taxed at those rates. It is wealth confiscation. A feature, not a bug.

If they want to withdraw from the U.S. capital markets they can do that.

Capital flight is a good thing? In a country with debt/GDP of 130% and massively negative net investment position. Got it.

But why worry? We've got Yellen keeping all the balls in the air.

Bidenomics. Go to any impoverished country and look around. Biden is flying those people in and is going to give them your wealth. You didn't build it. You didn't earn it. It's theirs. STFU

Clarification: Biden / Obama 3.0 / and "First Friend" and longest-running Advisor - Valerie Jarret (Obama's brain & 15-year housemmate).

"Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) files obtained by Judicial Watch reveal that the dad, maternal grandpa and father-in-law of President Obama's trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, were hardcore Communists under investigation by the U.S. government."

Side note: after traveling the world and speaking several languages, upon returning home to Chicago VJ was teased and hassled by her black classmates for her British accent and light skin. She then transfered to a private school.

I think you are both right and wrong.

India was never a true ally. They have always been a free agent.

Like China, India is engaging in a bit of deglobalization, with India for India as far as favoring Indian companies. US has very little leverage since, like China was for supply chain and manufacturing, India is for IT and customer support and software development. In addition, India is the next China as far as growing middle class and economic growth and powerhouse.

But we have always seen India do what is best for them, and will not take any position solely based on friendship or alliance. We saw that with oil where they bought from Russia, refined it and sold it back to us.

But US needs to stop with the virtue signaling with other countries as if they will listen to us. We have alienated African countries, India, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, etc. without making a single dent on those countries domestic policy but weakening our overall influence on economic matters. Bunch of dumb politicians. That was the problem with Jimmy Carter, and we made some key mistakes during Biden's administration with countries that were more on the fence with China and Russia that moved closer to our rivals due to empty moralizing.

tRump and Biden are figurehead presidents like Reagan. The difference being tRump's surrounding cast, you know, the people that actually run the country and read stuff (not just photos, pie charts and graphs) are no better at their jobs than tRump's attorneys are…..and they will be vetted by his sons, Dumb and Dumber.
The military is either going to back tRump or remove him, the question being , are there enough White supremacists at the command level of the military to back him? There may be.

At this stage, I think Biden can get away with saying whatever he wants since there's zero accountability from the media. There's a reason why the Democrats didn't want Biden to have sole authority of the nuclear launch codes.

tRump never had them. The football they gave him was a Rawlings. The Joint Chiefs had a stand down order in place in the event tRump ever tried to order launch. Would you expect any less for a man that cannot control his narcolepsy or flatulence in front of the jury that can convict him of a felony?

*When he "wins" the election they will give him faux intelligence reports knowing that he is going to leave them in bathroom stalls at spy infested Mar a Lago and discuss the contents in the Men's Grill after he posts his score of 98 on the links as a 72.

The Democrats, meanwhile, tend of have better actual policies here but their messaging sucks. Part of this is because they also have to appeal to the urban/suburban educated class and the messaging to these two groups is very different.

The most popular president in history with 81 million votes Joe Biden is the least popular president at this point in his presidency in the last 70 years.

Read that again.

According to a new Gallup poll, Biden is "in a weaker position than any prior incumbent" including President George H.W. Bush.
