Reich's myopia.
Speaking from the shelter of a blue bubble.
Tries very hard to be relevant.
I can just imagine Bill Clinton eyes rolling about half the time Reich shares his ideas.

I agree, I trust that tRump and Leon Musk have our best interests at stake. They are both "we" guys.

I've been so many places in my life and time
I've sung a lot of songs
I've made some bad rhymes
I've acted out my life in stages
With ten thousand people watching
But we're alone now
And I'm singing this song to you

Nice choice of alarming X Axis values. We're talking a decrease here of 0.8%. As the big population bubble of Boomers are reaching retirement age, I would expect a decrease in the full time worker population. I'm not claiming that's the entire recent for the decrease, but it most likely is playing a role. Things like AI, robots, self driving vehicles, outsourcing jobs to other countries, etc, will also trend full time employment downward.

The vast majority of economists think the U.S. economy is strong:

1. GDP is rising
2. unemployment is low
3. inflation has come down
4. the stock market is at or near its all-time high

Is "amuse" an economist, or just a hyper-partisan hack? (rhetorical question)

The earlier inflation was unfortunate, but people see the prices of their "basics" going up (not gonna lie, there were major increases in 2022-23) and it really influences their opinion of how the economy as a whole is doing.

There is also the misconception that the POTUS controls the economy, as if Joe Biden created the inflation we had.

Now, we could go into a recession at any time. It happens... under any President. Trump's tariff ideas are at least as bad as Harris' anti-gouging ideas.

Yeah, having a president who isn't a tool of the security state is a real problem. Can't have that.

Btw, how are you enjoying being bedfellows with Dick Cheney?

Love to see your best arguments for why you think tRump is intellectually, emotionally and ethically fit to be POTUS.

Do you think all these people are lying or just some of them? If just some of them, which ones?

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Trump had the understanding of "a fifth- or sixth-grader."

-White House chief of staff John Kelly called Trump "an idiot."

-Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said in November 2017 that Trump was "like an 11-year-old child."

-Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in July 2017 called Trump a "moron."

-McMaster also said Trump was a "dope" with the intelligence of a "kindergartner."

-Both Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus called Trump an "idiot."

-Former economic adviser Gary Cohn said Trump was "dumb as sh@it." An e-mail "purporting to represent the views of Gary Cohn" circulated the White House that read, in part:
"It's worse than you can imagine. An idiot surrounded by clowns. Trump won't read anything not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers; nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored. And his staff is no better. Kushner is an entitled baby who knows nothing. Bannon is an arrogant pr@ick who thinks he's smarter than he is. Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits . . . I am in a constant state of terror and shock."

Nancy Pelosi: "I've had a lot of conversations with this man," she wrote, "and at the end of nearly all of them, I think, 'Either you are stupid, or you think that the rest of us are.'"

Working with Trump is "like trying to figure out what a child wants" White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh

The White House has become an adult day care center"Republican senator Bob Corker of Tennessee

Tom Barrack Jr., a fellow billionaire and one of Trump's closest associates, reportedly told a friend that Trump was "not only crazy,he's stupid."

Must be nice to just dismiss out of hand any opposing opinions as "shilling for the Deep State". Certainly it's easy and takes no mental effort.

You could write a think tank whitepaper on an issue and a tRumpist would counter with a flippant sentence and proclaim he just "owned a Lib"….which is pretty much all you can expect from anyone that would vote for tRump.

Yeah, Obama administrations I, II and III have been such a foreign policy tour de force. Is there any region that they haven't effed up? Contrast with Trump who handled the Russia problem and the ME infinitely better (unless you're a neocon feasting off the endless war gravy train. I'll take simple over evil, independence over the captive of deeply entrenched un-elected elite, but hey, to each his own.

The irony of your post is that we we don't even have a president right now (which I guess seems to be just fine for the authoritarian left) and there is no one on the political stage in the history of American politics who has talked less intelligently about any issue outside the kitchen as Kamala. Dan Quayle must be pleased to have passed that torch.

RFK Jr. is right yet again. The parties have flipped (at least the populist wing of the Republican party). Dems are the party of censorship, corporate kleptocracy, bigotry, hate and endless wars.
Dick freakin' Cheney. The guy still says Iraq was a success. And he's right, if you're a part of the MIC.
Says it all.

No takers yet? If someone on your team is willing to fish up some quotes from Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk and Bobby, Jr. regarding their assessment of tRump's intellect I could be persuaded by that. I find them an impressive and trustworthy Triad.

Biden-Garris: 2 wars and a million dead, with nuclear war a possibility.

Now Hiding Harris is Cramming for a debate in which she had 6 years to prepare. Holed up in Pennsylvania.

Has a presidential nominee ever hid like Harris? Even Biden got out ocassionally.

Has a party nominee ever been on a Presidential ticket with zero primary votes and an abysmal prior recird?

Really? This is progress.

As disturbing as some of those quotes are, we are still left with the question, who is worse?

https://thefederalist.com/2024/07/23/92-percent-of-kamala-harris-staff-left-in-her-first-three-years-as-vp/

"Kamala Harris' office has had a staggering 91.5 percent turnover rate since she became vice president, an investigation from government watchdog organization Open The Books (OTB) revealed on Monday. Of the 47 staff members hired when Harris took office in 2021, only four reportedly remained in her employment as of March 2024.
...
OTB's investigation also revealed budget discrepancies and a lack of transparency from Harris' office. As Andrzejewski said, "Kamala Harris, Office of Vice President, is committed to the opacity of its payrolls and all other office information."
...
Staffers in Harris' office have reported a toxic work environment since 2021, when The Washington Post spoke with 18 individuals in Harris' orbit. Descriptions ranged from "uncomfortable" to "soul-destroying."
"One of the things we've said in our little text groups among each other is what is the common denominator through all this and it's her," former Harris aide and Democrat strategist Gil Duran told the Post. Back in 2013, after just five months of working for Harris, he quit. "Who are the next talented people you're going to bring in and burn through and then have [them] pretend they're retiring for positive reasons."
Others said Harris blamed staff for her lack of preparation.
"It's clear that you're not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work," a former anonymous staffer told the Post. "With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you're constantly sort of propping up a bully and it's not really clear why."

She's propped up bc she's seen as a female version of Barry Soetoro - educated, in her case at least double victim status, and the potential to fake competence (Biden unable to do that any more).

Beautiful false equivalency! Chef's kiss!

Insulting a weird, slimy white guy is EXACTLY the same as insulting and disparaging an entire group of immigrants from a country.
