He comes out far ahead of the cableTV generals in terms of his assessments of the Ukraine war. He is also fairly knowledgeable about Israel having served as an advisor in the overhaul of their armored divisions after their debacle in the 2006 Lebanon War.

It's a shame Hamas won't lay down their arms, acknowledge Israel's right to exist, return the hostages and live out their remaining days safely in Qatar (or whichever country agreed to take them in).

It's very telling when the so called progressive alternative to Hamas is an entity led by a Holocaust denier.

They did offer to return the hostages in exchange for a permanent cease fire, which Netanyahu rejected. Israel as well has thousands of Palestinians hostages, people of all ages and both sexes captured and held without trial for arbitrary reasons. Israel has 9,000 Palestinian hostages, rounded up in raids like this, from a few days ago:


Even Hamas did recognize Israel as part of a 2-state solution, which Israel has continuously scuttled since the 1990s. Israel is currently colonizing areas not just in the West Bank, but also in Lebanon and Syria.

The Palestinians are not the side that is lobbing 2,000lb bombs on refugees encampments and killing children by the hundreds every week.

This film also hasn't been able to find an American distributor, despite winning an Oscar. It's only been seen where it's been sold directly to independent theaters. No streaming deal either.

I don't know why Israelis have such power to suppress media here, but this is a pretty clear example.
