JP Morgan, page 39 notes Biden's low approval rating. Then the chart has this explainer:
"[3] President Biden withdraws sometime between Super Tuesday and the November election, citing health reasons. Biden passes the torch to a replacement candidate named by the Democratic National Committee. Biden has a low approval rating for a President with ~10% job creation since his inauguration, although that figure is the by-product of his inauguration coinciding with the rollout of COVID vaccines and a reopening US economy. See our November 2023 Eye on the Market for details on the process of candidate replacement during the primary season or before/after the general election."
The BLM / AME partnership might be worried President Trump is reaching black voters.
“Our latest 2024 match-up has Biden winning black voters by only 22 points, and Trump wins with Hispanic voters by 23 points. Those are massive advantages for Trump over previous elections, and if they hold, they make Trump unbeatable,” Mitchell said of (our) latest poll.… pic.twitter.com/aE6i9y41y2
Despite the pro-Trump sentiments from BI boomers, looks like seniors haven't forgotten how bad Trump is. I'm guessing this is one of those polls all of the MAGAts will just pretend doesn't exist. If this is accurate, Trump will lose PA again and Biden will win the election.
“Nobody expected this”: President Biden has 60 percent support from voters 65 and older — compared to just 37% for Trump — according to a new Quinnipiac poll of Pennsylvania voters. 👏👏#Biden2024https://t.co/KoPeq8D0XU
Comer admitted today that the whole impeachment thing was a sham. Says he never intended to impeach Biden and all but acknowledged this whole thing was a fishing expedition. Confirmed that the committee hearings are just performative.
They've been using dirty politics for years in the hopes that they can overcome Trump's massive disadvantage against Biden by talking about Hunter's hog. It failed miserably in 2020. They've underperformed in each election since. No amount of fake caravans, make believe fentanyl halloween candy or any other stupid culture wars will fix Trump's unelectability.
Maybe they just need to replace their speaker with a new one. Or make up some other story. Yeah, I'm sure that will get them where they want to go.
Quote:
In an interview with CNN, Comer gave his latest insight into the committee's investigation, lowering expectations as doubts begin to grow within GOP ranks about whether it will actually lead to a successful impeachment vote of the president.
Comer said it doesn't matter to him if Biden is ultimately impeached, arguing his true intent is to conduct the far-reaching probe and then pursue legislation to ban influence peddling. ... After the Oversight Committee's vote of the contempt resolution against the president's son, which included sparring on both sides of the aisle, Comer reflected that hearings from his committee are "more entertainment than substantive."
His panel has only had one hearing on the impeachment inquiry into the president and one of the Republicans' own witnesses said that the House did not yet have the evidence to support articles of impeachment.Everything else has happened behind closed doors in private depositions. "Nobody wants to wrap this up more than I do," Comer told reporters after the vote.
It would be awful politics to impeach a President as bad as Biden. When you have a buffoon like that in office, you want him to have to run on his record, not get bailed out by an impeachment and then run against his successor who doesn't have to own all the stupid things he's done. Only moron Biden voters think that's some sort of gotcha.
Biden "mercilessly heckled" during visit to Allentown, Pennsylvania. Maybe "Nowhere Coffee Co." was not the smartest locale name for an Uncle Joe pop-up? https://t.co/ZztTYy6bgU

I'm curious why you would post results from a three-year-old poll?
The more recent pew results on this (from 2023) don't present the same graphic so this was the cleanest way to point out the difference. If you would like to see more detail on how the world views Biden, you can look at the newest stuff. If you want to see how badly the world viewed Trump, you can look at what I shared above (or look here).
For the best comparison of our last 4 presidents, you can look at this chart. You will see that the only countries holding favorable views of Trump were Israel, Kenya and possibly India (all of whom rate Biden more favorably, though to be fair I'm not so sure where Israel stands right now).
The fundamentals are the same - people across the world overwhelmingly view Trump negatively and overwhelmingly view Biden positively. Our international standing has risen under Biden and they are no longer laughing at us. We're not quite back to the overwhelmingly positive world view that existed under Obama, but they have significantly rebounded from the Trump lows.
Of course the irony of all of this was Trump pretending that the world was laughing at us under Obama. It was laughably false then and became literally true during his term.

That was a lot of words to say you got played by another dumb Biden voter, who posted a poll from 2021 and you believed it was current info. Easy to see why you're such an easy target of U.S. war propaganda.

I didn't ask you where current information was or how things compared. I asked you why you posted three-year old data and then presented it as current? It's obvious you didn't know what you were posting. An "oops" would have been a more credible and better answer than that gibberish you wrote above,

No, I've shown, excuse me, you've shown, how disingenuous you are. You know, when you posted 3-year-old data and presented it as current. It's hard to back track off that. It's really best to just admit your mistake instead of trying - in vain - to make it look like it was something other than it was.

The current data (which I posted) is consistent. How is presenting accurate data disingenuous? You just continue to prove why you are here, and it's not to engage in a substantive, genuine discussion. If you would like to provide critical feedback on the content I posted, feel free. Show us counter-points. Argue that the data is wrong.

That's what I did. You can't use the wrong data and then justify doing so because it might match the correct data (which is debatable).

You didn't argue that my data was wrong, you questioned the accuracy based on the age of it. Please share the data that you believe is accurate.
Again, if you were intending to do something other than trolling, you would bring your own data or argument. Instead, this just feels like petty trolling.
Discourse is great - if you feel like you have an argument that the world doesn't in fact view Biden more favorably than Trump, bring it.

This is really the issue . . . neither party has made a good argument to these voters. Trump makes vaguely populist noises but doesn't actually support policies that would help them.
- policies made us energy independent - provided cheap energy, helping working families and business - low, stable food and energy inflation - built 500 miles of 30' Wall - largely closed the southern border - USMCA trade deal closes the backdoor access to China - inner city opportunity zones - First Step prison reform act - lured manufacturing home, including chip production to Arizona - steel mills modernized and expanded - low, stable mortgage rates - no new wars! - five peace deals

I can't see where the Republicans have done anything besides cut taxes for the wealthy, banned abortion where they could and pursued culture wars.

The Democrats, meanwhile, tend of have better actual policies here but their messaging sucks. Part of this is because they also have to appeal to the urban/suburban educated class and the messaging to these two groups is very different.
What's killing the working class is this new, mandatory "Drag Queen Story Hour" in all our Kindergarten classes I keep hearing about. The political party that addresses this will get the working class vote, for sure!
Also, this Critical Race Theory stuff that dominates the entire middle and high school curriculum...

Yes, the working class just needs Trump to carry more empty pizza boxes, throw more paper towels at hurricane victims and talk about all of his personal grievances with the "very best" people who used to work for him but now hate him. That plus the GOP killing all legislation that could possibly improve the country because they are afraid of Trump will surely help working stiffs put food on the table.
