This is why I don't trust social media sources too much. The same incident will get posted repeatedly every few months to make a problem appear widespread and frequent when really it just happened once or twice.

They still haven't balanced the budget and will likely be headed back into state receivership soon, after which even more layoffs and school closures will be forced.

They need to make $100 million in budget cuts.

Wrong.
Clearly not a Booth.

I was the first person to report on Oakland Unified averting a teacher's strike. I was also the first person to mention the size of the budget cuts required.

There's NO RECORD of anyone else posting about how this strike was averted.
