Does anyone know of a simple way to verify stuff in the news, Internet, etc? I really don't have the patience to go down rabbit holes on every single topic. I'll give a quick (stupid) example of something in the 'news' that I saw on FB. It was an apparent report from a 'news' agency that showed street signs in Union Square in SF that said something like 'Beware that the maximum amount of stolen goods can't exceed $950'. My next door friend from Minnesota asked me about these. I said I think those are fake. He and my wife said the pictures and article looked real. I should have just googled fake signs in Union Square but since my wife and I walk in SF all the time I said we'll walk there and report back. We did. No signs. Fake. I have no idea if there is a 'fake Biden'. What I do know is how your fitness waxes and wanes as you get older. And more to the point, how it can improve even when you get older. Joe's got 20 years on me (yes, that is a lot) but here's my guess on this jogging. Joe's schedule is now (guessing) vastly less busy than before he got replaced. If he's used the reduced pressure and more spare time healthfully he definitely could jog like that. TRUST ME ON THIS, you can get some of your fitness back as you get older if you are patient, diligent and hard working. I've done it in my 60s from rock bottom (for me). Hip replacement, cancer treatment, blackout seizure (and smaller seizures), a lot of new medications had me on my back. I can't imagine if I had a career going too. But years later my fitness is MUCH better. My leg strength and balance (specifically relevant to this clip) is MUCH better. Small jogs like this were impossible for me and now they are not.bear2034 said:

Vice President Harris is leading in the polling that is not Republican affiliated both nationally and in swing states.
We'll see what wins out between the two recent polling trends. The undercount of Trump voters since 2016 vs. the undercount of Democratic voters since the Supreme Court stripped women of their full rights.
I think Vice President Harris will win. She seems to have the advantage for enthusiasm and GOTV ground game. But we shall see.

I legitimately think either argument for who is "really" winning is valid (given that the polls stubbornly keep showing a true tossup) and I have no idea which way this will go. I could see that the polling underestimates Trump again like in '16 and '20. I could also see that the polling has adjusted too much to account for that and is underestimating the Dems again.
