If memory serves only about 30% of the electorate turned out for the election that installed her. She got tossed in a General Election with much higher voter turnout, especially from East county which buried her.
She left the county with some substantial pending liabilities: two race discrimination cases filed by Asian employees of her office and likely a defamation and malicious prosecution case by Butch Ford, a top prosecutor and political rival in the office, that she filed criminal charges against that were later tossed by the AG (after Madame DA and her office were recused from handling the prosecution). She is the gift that will keep giving.
*My personal favorite moment of her short reign was in January, 2023, when at an anti police rally in downtown Oakland she announced from the stage (when referring to the Deputy DAs), "I'm going to fire all the mother f@ucks." What she had not been advised of at that time was that the Deputy DAs had feared in the run up to the election that they would all get fired without cause if she won and replaced by former public defenders whose only mission would be to burn the office to the ground. They protected themselves by joining the Teamsters Union. She was never able to fire even one prosecutor that became a Teamster.
My 2nd favorite moment was when she tried to have Sturdy Golden Bear, Emilie Raguso (Berkeley Scanner), physically removed from a press conference because of her truthful reporting about Madame DA. Her flunkies had to remind her it was a First Amendment violation to remove Ms. Raguso.

Approx at 3:15am i was awakened by OPD on the loudspeaker of cruiser telling suspects in a Jeep SRT to pull over… they didn't comply as they both drove down the block. 5 mins later 3 infinity's pulled (all Hispanics with ski masks) in the tire shop parking lot. 5 mins later it was 100-200 people mostly Hispanic/Asians setting up for a slideshow/intersection take over ( Not a Sideshow !!!). The cruiser didn't tell dispatchers the location of the building crowd ? The slideshow/take over ensures. I called opd , and after being on hold for 2-3 mins a dispatcher asks what's the reason I'm calling( not going to lie I was snarky because the burning the rubber /screeching tires was so loud I could barely hear her) at that point I walked around the corner to get a better look of the magnitude. So many thoughts cars parked up and down with vehicles w/o driver's the intersection was blocked off. OPD needs to hire my team(shameless consultants plug) asap if they ever want to deal with this and its related problems. Both Republicans and Democrats caused this problem.

Not ignorant at all. I wrote my thesis on the cultural phenomena known as the "Oakland sideshow" . Slideshows/takeovers are what the sideshow has morphed ( i say devolved) into. A few of the biggest differences are demographics of both spectators and exhibitionists /types of vehicles involved/ ethos and or reasoning of why. Similarities burning rubber /crowds.
I also taught a course on The Sideshows. I have also been acknowledged as a resident expert by a couple of publications.

I was just down by Lake Merritt. What about the multiple dirt bikes pulling wheelies and such. Does that have a name? Seems dangerous as hell, but I never hear of any resulting bad accidents.
They passed down my block earlier lol. That is out of my lane but I know a couple associates that are affiliated with them … I have asked what's up or why etc and I get some wild but understandable responses from society doesn't care about us (especially when we were children) thus they don't care about anyone. Then some of them are from well to do areas in contra costa ie Walnut Creek and almo/danville and seek approval of societies cast offs/ the ability to hide among others and behave as pseudo outlaws where as they would stick out in there own neighborhoods.

Sideshows were a release of muscular tension see Fanon (that the colonized body and mind harbor). slideshows/takeovers are dominated by Hispanics and other non Black folks. It's cultural appropriation on many levels. When it changed from frame up built old school v8 high performance vehicles to stolen infinity's and chargers the ethos changed from a celebration to a Drifting Fast &Furious type thing. Different ethos… different thing

I know there is a 2013 study that shows that Black fathers that live with their children are generally more involved in the day to day activities of their children than white and Hispanic fathers, but that is hardly the same thing.
