Isn't that how Amurica is sposed to work? A Thousand Points of Light. Ya know - the government doesn't need to take care of its people because rich people will! It's called philanthropy. Who needs a social safety net when you have United Way and Goodwill? And rich (mostly) white folks with phat bank and guilty consciences.
