Lindsay Graham has already said that if Trump fires Sessions "there will be hell to pay".

I doubt Senate would work too hard or expeditiously to confirm a replacement AG. Not that I would be too sad to see Sessions go, but it's sad that he is getting hammered for doing what was ethically required.

I also am not too sad to see Priebus go either. Not sure how Kelly will do, but I at least respect him for willing to sacrifice for his country and his beliefs. He isn't one to just talk and let others fight and sacrifice while patting himself on the back for talking a good game.

After the Coup d'tat the first book will be The Night of the Generals, followed by Dad Always Liked You Best: The Eric Trump Story (with forward by Tommy Smothers).

Just an ABSOLUTE F*CKing CLUSTERF*CK! It's the keystone cops of White House staffs. When I went out of town on Friday, Priebus was Chief of Staff and now he is gone along with Scarramucci.

But it's wildly entertaining, I was laughing when Spicer bounced, this morning I was howling when Trump pooched Mooch.

Scaramucci beat the over-under on how long he would last.
Well done, Mooch. That was pretty damn unbelievably well done.

Now there's a lawsuit alleging the White House was involved in the Fake News (sorry, Fox News) story about Seth Rich. I don't know whether the allegation is true that Trump was personally involved in the creation of the story, but would that really surprise anyone? I assume at this point the Republicans would say that it's not "technically illegal" and therefore a nothingburger.

Trump popularity dropped again in the recent polls, getting close to Watergate level:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

You can see the effects of this, as some Republicans in Congress are now feeling emboldened to speak strongly against him.

The fact that you believe that colluding with a hostile foreign power to affect an election outcome is ok, says a lot about you.

There just isn't a shred of evidence supporting a charge of colluding with the Russians.

More irons in the fire than previously thought. With this kind of Russian connections to GOP Senators, no chance to impeach and convict The Grump.

Gone how? That article is a mind bender, my head hurts but it follows along much of what Rachel Maddow has been reporting
about his involvement in money laundering and I don't see that moving the GOP or Trump loyalists to removing him from office.

AS President can he pardon himself for crimes he committed before taking office? He's not the type to quit over embarrassment.
So how does he leave? Allergic reaction to his hair growth medications?

No pardon power with regard to violation of state laws. NY has its own nifty money laundering and racketeering statutes.

Do those laws also apply to the Clinton Foundation?

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html

Quote:

Bill Clinton received half a million dollars in 2010 for a speech he gave in Moscow, paid by a Russian firm, Renaissance Capital, that has ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation took money from Russian officials and oligarchs, including Victor Kekselberg, a Putin confidant. The Foundation also received millions of dollars from Uranium One, which was sold to the Russian government in 2010, giving Russia control of 20% of the uranium deposits in the U.S. — the sale required approval from Hillary Clinton's State Department. What's more, at least some of these donations weren't disclosed. "Ian Telfer, the head of the Russian government's uranium company, Uranium One, made four foreign donations totaling $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all such donors," the Times has reported.

Also, this, from The Nation magazine on the DNC hack:

Former NSA experts say it wasn’t a hack at all, but a leak—an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system.

Quote:

Lost in a year that often appeared to veer into our peculiarly American kind of hysteria is the absence of any credible evidence of what happened last year and who was responsible for it. It is tiresome to note, but none has been made available. Instead, we are urged to accept the word of institutions and senior officials with long records of deception. These officials profess “high confidence” in their “assessment” as to what happened in the spring and summer of last year—this standing as their authoritative judgment. Few have noticed since these evasive terms first appeared that an assessment is an opinion, nothing more, and to express high confidence is an upside-down way of admitting the absence of certain knowledge.

Quote:

There was no hack of the Democratic National Committee’s system on July 5 last year—not by the Russians, not by anyone else. Hard science now demonstrates it was a leak—a download executed locally with a memory key or a similarly portable data-storage device. In short, it was an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system.
